The AFCEA Blue Angels Pensacola Chapter is pleased to have awarded more than $20,000 in STEM scholarships to graduating high school seniors in 2015 and 2016. Funds for these scholarships are a result of tremendous community support and sponsorship of the CyberThon event. 2017 scholarship funds have not been determined yet, but information should be posted here by March 15, 2017.

Who can apply?
High school seniors from Escambia County, FL and Santa Rosa County, FL graduating in the spring of 2016 with plans to attend college in a STEM related major are eligible to apply.
What is considered a STEM field of study?
Our selection committee adheres to the generally accepted STEM guidelines of the National Science Foundation which include: Biometry/Biometrics, Computer Engineering, Computer Forensics Science, Computer Programming, Computer Science, Computer Systems, Cybersecurity, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Geospatial Science, Information Science, Information Technology, Information Resource Management, Intelligence, Mathematics, Network Engineering, Network Security, Operations, Research, Physics, Robotics Engineering, Robotics Technology, Statistics, Strategic Intelligence, and Telecommunications Engineering.
How many scholarships are available?
We will award up to ten (10) individual scholarships of $1,000 each to eligible applicants. If more than ten applications are recieved, the AFCEA Pensacola Board of Directors will award scholarships to the ten most highly qualified applicants.
